Privacy Policy — Naseeb Mawada
Last updated: 10 October 2026
This policy explains what data we collect when you use the «Naseeb Mawada» app and the naseebmawada.com website, why we collect it, who can see it, when we delete it, and what choices you have. We write it in plain language. We process your data in line with applicable laws, including the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR and the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law, and consistent with Apple and Google store policies. By using the service you confirm that you have read this policy.
1. Who we are and scope
The operator of Naseeb Mawada is «Naseeb company». It is responsible for processing the personal data described here.
The service provides introductions for marriage only, for adults aged 18 and over. We are not a matchmaker, marriage office, notary, consulate, court or mufti. We issue no religious rulings and give no legal advice.
For questions about this policy or to exercise your rights, write to support@naseebmawada.com. Never send your password or recovery code by email. We will never ask for them.
2. Data we collect
We collect only what is needed to run the service. The categories are:
We do not ask for extra data that the service does not need.
- Account data: you sign up with Google, Apple, or a username and password. We do not require a phone number or an email address, and the app has no phone field. For Google or Apple sign-in we store only the provider's account identifier, not your email address. Passwords and recovery codes are stored only as one-way hashes that cannot be reversed.
- Profile data: display name, date of birth, gender, nationality, country and city of residence, marital status, children, height, education, job, languages, interests, bio, what you seek in a partner, and marriage preference («traditional marriage», «misyar marriage» or «open to both»).
- Photos: we review new photos before other members can see them. A completed profile can appear while its photo is awaiting review, but unapproved photos are not displayed. Profile completion or photo approval is not identity verification.
- Messages: text and recorded voice messages between two people after an introduction request is accepted.
- Profile visits: we record visits to profiles.
- Device and technical data: push notification tokens from Apple and Google push services, and your IP address and basic request data in server logs.
- In-app product measurement events and subscription data (see sections 6 and 7).
- Support requests: we store the category, subject, messages, status and reply timestamps linked to your account. Authorized support staff can read them to assist you; other members cannot. Reply notifications do not contain your complaint text. Tickets and their messages are deleted when your account is deleted from our system; this does not automatically include email correspondence or backups described in this policy.
3. Who sees what
Other signed-in members can see your profile and your approved photo. Your full date of birth is never shown; only your age appears.
At any time, and free of charge, you can hide your profile, block a member, and report a member.
Your profile data stays visible to those entitled to see it for as long as you have not hidden the profile. When you hide it, other members cannot see it, but your account remains until you delete it.
Premium members can see who visited their profile, which is why profile visits are recorded.
4. Introductions, conversations and reports
A member sends an introduction request with a short message, and a conversation opens only if the other person accepts. After acceptance, only text and recorded voice messages are possible. There are no calls.
We store messages and voice notes on our servers so that we can deliver them to the two participants in the conversation.
When a report is made, our team may review the reported content to enforce the rules and protect members.
Members cannot contact you without your acceptance. No member can send you text or voice messages before you accept an introduction request.
Blocking prevents the blocked member from contacting you.
We do not use message content for measurement, and we do not show it to anyone other than the two participants. Our team looks at conversations only when a report is made, as explained above.
5. Optional public web directory
Your profile appears in the public directory only after your separate, explicit consent in settings. This consent is independent of any other consent.
The directory publishes text only: name, age, city, country of residence, nationality, gender and marriage preference. It never includes your photo, bio, messages or contact data.
The directory can appear in search engines, and search engines may take time to remove cached copies after you withdraw consent.
You can switch the directory off at any time. If you change any published field, your consent is cancelled until you give it again.
We recommend thinking carefully before you enable the directory, because what is published becomes available to the public on the internet, and others may save it outside our control.
6. In-app measurement and third-party measurement
First-party measurement: we record events such as «profile completed» or «introduction sent» to understand and improve the product. We never record message content. This measurement is on by default for new accounts and you can switch it off in settings. When you switch it off, the recorded events are deleted. We keep events for up to 90 days.
Third-party measurement: we use Google Firebase Analytics to analyse usage and AppsFlyer to learn which ad or campaign brought you to us, so we spend less on advertising and improve the app. They receive usage events that carry no content (such as opening the app, completing your profile, sending an introduction, starting a conversation and opening the plans), events Firebase records automatically (first open, session start, engagement time, app or operating-system update, and in-app purchases with product name and price), and device and connection data: device model, operating system, language, app version, IP address and a random measurement identifier for the app on your device. They never receive your name or account, your profile data or photos, the content of your messages or voice notes, your search terms, or whose profiles you visit. Sharing with ad networks is switched off, and we do not use this data for personalised advertising.
Default: third-party measurement is on by default, and it starts only after the app has shown it to you: on the last step of completing your profile, or once on the home screen or in «الإشعارات والخصوصية» (Notifications and privacy). If the country of residence in your profile is in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, or you have not set it yet, it stays off and runs only if you switch it on yourself. Once you switch it off, no later default switches it back on.
On iPhone: AppsFlyer runs only if you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission, which we explain before your device asks; if you allow it, AppsFlyer receives the advertising identifier (IDFA) to measure campaigns. If you don't allow it, AppsFlyer stays off on your device and only Firebase keeps analysing usage, without any advertising signals and without linking it to your account, as long as third-party measurement is on.
Switching it off: open «حسابي» (My account), then «الإشعارات والخصوصية» (Notifications and privacy), and switch off «القياس الخارجي» (third-party measurement) in one tap, at any time. Switching it off stops any further sending immediately; it does not automatically delete what was already sent to Google or AppsFlyer. To ask for that deletion, contact us (section 16).
First-party measurement does not include the content of your messages. Third-party measurement is not required to use any feature of the service, and you lose nothing by switching it off.
7. Subscriptions and purchases
All Naseeb Plus benefits are complimentary for women without a purchase. Men can use the free plan or choose an optional monthly auto-renewing premium subscription through Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing. The store displays the local price and renewal terms before confirmation.
We never receive your card details. We receive transaction identifiers, the product, status, expiry and renewal status so that we can activate premium.
Our company does not control payment details at the two stores. Their own policies govern payment, refunds and cancellation.
You can cancel and manage the subscription in your Apple or Google account settings. Deleting the app or the account does not cancel it.
Complimentary access does not automatically cancel an existing store subscription or create a new paid transaction. If you previously subscribed, manage renewal in your Apple or Google account.
8. How we use your data and on what basis
We use your data only for these purposes:
- Running the service: creating your account, showing profiles, delivering requests and messages, and activating your subscription. Basis: performing our contract with you.
- Safety and security: photo review, handling reports, preventing abuse and fraud, and rate limiting. Basis: our legitimate interest in protecting members and the service, and legal obligations.
- Notifications: we send them according to the notification permission you control in your device settings.
- Third-party measurement: for residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the basis is your consent when you switch it on yourself. For everyone else, the basis is our legitimate interest in measuring our campaigns and improving the app, and you can object at any time by switching it off.
- The public directory: the basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time without affecting earlier processing.
- Legal compliance: when a competent authority makes a lawful request.
9. Sharing
We do not sell personal data and we show no ads.
Your data is processed by service providers acting for us: our hosting provider, Apple and Google (sign-in, push notifications and store billing), and Firebase and AppsFlyer while third-party measurement is on (section 6).
We may disclose data when required by law or to protect the safety of members.
10. International transfers
Our members live in many countries, so your data may be processed outside your country. We apply appropriate safeguards when this happens. For questions about these safeguards, contact us at the email address below.
The service providers we work with must process data for us only for the purpose we set. If you need details about a specific provider, write to us at the email address below.
11. Retention and deletion
We keep account data while the account exists.
Deletion is available inside the app. When you delete your account, we immediately remove from our live systems your profile, photos, the messages and voice notes in your conversations, sessions and sign-in links.
Encrypted backups are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted.
We keep a minimal, irreversible record of past store purchases to prevent billing abuse.
Deleting the app or the account does not cancel your Apple or Google subscription. Cancel it in your store account settings.
12. Security
We use HTTPS/TLS in transit, store passwords as hashes, and limit access to authorised staff. No system is completely secure, so please keep your sign-in details confidential.
We never ask for your password or recovery code by any means. If a message impersonating us asks for them, ignore it and tell us.
13. Children
The service is not for anyone under 18. We remove accounts of minors when we discover them. If you know of an account belonging to a minor, tell us at the email address below.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. When we discover a minor's account, we delete it and remove its data from our live systems.
14. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you have these rights:
- Access to your data.
- Correction: edit your profile in the app.
- Deletion: delete your account inside the app.
- Withdrawal of consent: switch off the public directory or measurement in settings.
- Objection to processing and portability of your data: on request by email.
- For EU and UK users: the right to complain to your data protection authority.
15. Changes to this policy
We will notify members in the app or on the site before any material change takes effect. If you keep using the service after the change takes effect, you accept the updated policy.
16. Contact
For any question or request about your privacy, write to support@naseebmawada.com. Do not send your password or recovery code.
We review this policy from time to time, and the latest effective date appears at the top.
